Post Removal of automatic shift lever...

This seems to be the only thing my Chilton's manual doesn't cover. Anyone here know how to remove it so that I can replace it? Any help is appreciated!

Man, I'm having the same trouble. I can't get mine off either. If anyone can help, PLEASE DO!!!

That's easy! :) Depress the shifter button all the way in, and pull up on the shifter. Comes right off. ;)

Well, I got it off, there was a hairpin clip holding it on, once i got that off it came right off.

Hmmm...my bad. I guess it's different than the '89-'93 models. Sorry about that. :(
