Best mod for 96 3.8

Yeah, I've got a 96 thunderbird with a 3.8 liter and it's way to slow. What kind of mod would give me the most power increase. Currently my car wont even spin the tires on take off.

go over to modulardepot.com, and check out the sct guys. I believe they sell a chip for the 3.8 engine. This will help in the hp dept.

It sure did on my 4.6

Couple of things the chip does;

Improves the shift schedule of the tranny, so that it doesn't shift as early as it does stock.

Advances the timing, and leans out the mixture (stock is too rich)

I believe the hp increase is around 15 or so, but don't quote me.
Haven't read up on the spec's for a 3.8 chip

And, stick with the SCT guys. They are the ones who taught everybody else how to do the tuning.
