Draining the block on a 95 4.6?

Hey, unfortunately my beautiful 95 4.6 thunderbird has come across some serious problems, the aluminum intake sprang a leak and before I know what happened it cracked the block, this I found out after having replaced the heads and head gaskets on the engine=(. Well now I'm out of money and I'm gonna try to use some K&W block sealer, has anyone here had experience with this? A few more questions as well, it says on the bottle to drain the block completely of water and let air dry for atleat 24hours, is there anything special I need to so besides draining radiator to accomplish this? I heard there is two draincocks on the block but I cannot get to them. Also, after getting the car back from the mechanics that put my heads on I seem to have noticed that there is no plastic shielding anymore under the body, all the lines are exposed that run under the car. I had to think for a while if there was orginally anything under the car like that or not, it has been atleast a year and a half since I've been under the car, but I could have sworn there was some sort of plastic shielding like a undercoat under this. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Adam
