heating coil

My heating coil went out and its getting perty cold. im getting another one and plan on putting it in really soon, but i dont know what to take apart and what to do to get to it to switch them out. i have a feeling its behind the airbag but i hope not, and i surely dont want to mess up the airbag. someone please tell me how to get back there???

If you are referring to the heater core, then you have to remove the entire dashboard to get at it. It will take about 6 - 8 hours to swap it out.

airbag clockspring

I may be posting this in the wrong thread, but I don't know how to start a new thread.

My question is this: Is it possible for the Do-It-Yourselfer to replace the clockspring in the steering column? If I can, is there a chance the airbag will deploy? Has anyone replaced a clockspring?

Thanks in advance.
