Question Gear Question

I have a 95 LX 4.6L and I would like to put some new gears in for some more torque. I am not quite sure which ones to put in or where to get them. I was thinking like 3:73 but I still would like some high end. Is that to low for high end cause I still will be doin some highway driving. But I still want some punch off the smashing of the throttle.

Thanks for all your help.

Angry

Since no one answered my question i found out what was the best to go with and i found out that a 3:73 gear ratio would be best. So for any of you with the same questions. There you have the answer.

Laterz all

I have also found out that you would also need to put in a speedo gear in the tranny. The 21 tooth one is what is needed so you speedo is not off. It is also recommended that you replace the differential bushings cause they do wear out. Since you have it all out they also say to put in a trac-loc. For those of you worried that it will snap your rear end, don't worry if there is to much pressure on the one side it will release it. Good luck to you all!
