1966 Tbird 428, $5,000 obo

This is not my car, but am helping out a desparate couple trying to sell their 1966 Tbird with 428 in original condition for $5,000 obo. I looked at the car myself, but it just needs more TLC than I have the time or money for right now. The ad can be found here: http://chicago.craigslist.org/car/123108158.html

For being in "original" condition it was in suprisingly good shape however. Everything except the windows works on the interior (one stuck up, one stuck down). The undercarriage is another story, extensive rust there, including holes in the exhaust.

I checked the VIN and it does have the 428, it's a "81 = Thunderbird 2-door Town Hardtop (1966, no rear quarter window, steel roof)" and was assembled in Michigan.

It's in Woodstock IL, about 1.5 h NW of Chicago.

More info from an email sent to me:
The Thunder bird was originally bought for me to tinker with. Something my Dad and I would do together. Since my husband purchased it we have only driven it from Wauconda to Woodstock and only to about 2 in town (Woodstock) car shows. That was a few years back. Since then my husband and I have moved to the East Coast and back got married HAD A BABY and have moved to Rockford. We are selling the place in Woodstock and so now we have had no time for obvious reasons and now we have no place to store it. It had 67,000 original miles when I purchased it. It is the Town car model with original engine. PS, PB, PLK, PW. The original add when I bought it said, Good-excellent condition. In the 6 years I have owned it the condition has not been altered. I still have the add from when I purchased it. lo! l No rust. I am really not sure about the HP. I am in Rockford and the car is in Woodstock. I will have to check it when I go out there next time I show it. It is an awesome car, but I do not see me working on it for a while. I hate to part with it. If you like my number is on the add as well as here. (815)654-2324. Thanks Hope this helps.
