Differences between 59 h/Top & convert
Could anybody tell me the main differences between a square bird h/tOP & Convertible ? apart from the obvious,e.g.Has the convert a different Windsheild & Frame ,Has the convert extra bracing from the Hard top to give it additional Strength, Regards Robin.

One of the great improvements for the 59 bird was a greatly enhanced suspension system over the 58 model. Also the late 59 models top operation was completely automatic for both the down and up cycles. Before that there were several steps that used different switches to cycle the top operation.
the windshield will be identicle and there was deffinately some body stiffening because of the top removal. Enjoy!
