Are you telling us the data plate shows a "35" under color? In my book, all the paint color codes are letters.. You're not looking at trim codes, are you?

Harley, thanks for the response! A friend walked up to me at work on Friday and hit me with that question.I knew 2 numbers didn't seem right for a paint code so I asked if he got those from the door plate and I got a vague answer.I will get back to him and post what I find out. Thanks again.Bagodonuts

Bagodonuts here with page 2.My friend neglected to say the paint code he's looking for is for interior trim,I assumed he was talking body color. It appears Harley Eaton is correct that he gave me a trim code 35.The car is a '61 Ford, black exterior, red dash & door trim. He's trying to determine the match for the interior red.Again, thanks for the help.

Hi. Trim code 35 doesnt exist for any year t-bird. For a 61 red vinyl is #55. I am used to these discrepencies because my 61 is supposed to be green #53 but it only exists in 1960 as 2 tone. in 61 I cannot get a color sample for 61 #53 green/green
