Diamond Jubilee wheels for sale (4)

These are the wheels that came with the 1978 Diamond Jubilee addition Ford Thunderbird. They currently have some red spray can on them (which should come off) but everything is there including the center caps lugs. The wheels currently have Goodyear Eagle ST tires on them and could be removed if neccessary for shipping etc... $195.00 for local pick up otherwise you also pay the shipping costs.

I am very sorry, I do not know what the shipping would be. I'm guessing that you just want the wheels, not the tires so then I will have to remove the tires and then find boxes and get a rate. I will not charge you .01 over the cost of the actual shipping and I would ship them how ever you like, ups/usps etc... No tricks, just being straight forward. I could probably get a rate for you sometime next week. Just let me know ASAP. Tom

Shipping Quote

Tom: Thanks for your response. Per your note, I'd be interested in just the turbine rims, not the tires, as this would reduce the weight for shipping. I am not in a hurry, so the shipping can be the slowest offered.

I restore 1978-79 Thunderbirds as a hobby (see attached pic of a 78 DJE in polar white; finished and now for sale) and use the turbine wheels whenever possible. In fact, my dailer driver is a 1979 T-Bird with turbine wheels, replacing the factory polycast wheel (see attched pic, chamois in color)).

Thanks, Tim

WOW, those cars are sooooooooooo cool!!! I'll work on the tires/wheels this week and come up with the least expensive shipping choice possible and then get back to you. Congratulations on keeping such a cool ard rare piece of history alive. Talk about bringing back memories! Thanks, Tom

Shipping estimate

Thanks, Tom, for the work involved in getting the shipping estimate.
Thought you'd enjoy a look at the motor (400-2v) and undercarriage of the finished 78 T-Bird, Diamond Jubilee; Tim, St. Pete, FL

Tim, I got the tires off the wheels today and the wheels look much better by themselves. I'll get boxes next and after that, get some quotes. Thanks for the additional pictures, I enjoyed them very much!. It looks like your are truly doing things right. That is a real "wow" car!!! Thank you so much for sharing those awesome pictures! Tom

Tim, I checked both usps & ups and the usps is going to be cheeper. IF, I can find a box that 2 wheels will fit into, it will be "APPROX." $34 a box. So $34 x 2 = $78.00. Otherwise, if I cannot find such box, it will be $21.50 per box. $21.50 x 4 =$86.00. Let me know. Also, did you want the lug nuts? I am not 100% sure the lug nuts are the originals but I could email a picture to you if needed. Tom

Pix of Lug Nuts

Tom:

Pix of the lug nuts would help as they will tell me if they belong to the wheels. Lug nuts that fit the turbine wheels and are still shiny are hard to find. Thanks. Tim

lug nuts

Tom:

Thanks for going to the trouble of shooting the lug nuts for me. I can immediately see that they are the standard lug nuts, not the ones used on the turbine wheels. So, you do not have to send them. Look at the pix I've attached in the previous note and you can tell the difference. Tim
