Changes to the forum

To bring everyone up to date:

Paul is stepping down as a website administrator and I will take over his responsibilities. I have lots of technical experience, and will work hard to make sure the forum is fast and fun to use.

Last night we moved to a new faster server - I hope you noticed the difference. I also temporarily closed the forum to new members. I need time to evaluate the current way we let new members in. If you know someone who wants to get in please send me a message.

I also changed the way advertising is displayed on the forum. Registered members will see less advertising comparing to visitors that contribute nothing to the forum.

If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear from you. I will keep you posted on any upcoming changes.

Cheers,

Welcome to the administrator position!

This forum has a lot to like; I like the appearance of it, I like the format, I like the categories, and there are some very nice people here. About the only thing I don't like is the inactivity, which is true of many car forums.

Once we finally turn this back on to new members, be they newbies or veterans who are checking us out, we need to go out of our way to extend a big welcome. A forum is only as good as the people who frequent it, so getting more on board will improve things all around.
