I don't have thing but here are some pics of a couple of Mercury Motegos, they look like Thunderbirds and are in a junkyard about 31 minutes away from me.

Such a hard to find car, what a pity...

1978 T-Bird, Diamond Jubilee Edition: Showroom

This low-mileage classic of mine is one of the nicest 78 Diamond Jubilee's in existence. Perhaps there are a few guys out there who enjoy the 77-79 Body style. I drive a 1979 Bird as a daily driver here in FL, but the '78 DJE is only for the odd trip and cruise.

Here's some data on the Bird: 77,500 documented miles, original paint:polar white (rare) with blue/grey padded vinyl top (only one in existence that I know of); one of the last 5 models built in 1978, 400-2c (trailer package), leather interior; posi-traction, new dual exhaust, rear-end taken apart, acid-dipped, rebuilt; new tires and shocks and complete brake system, front and rear; NOS turbine wheels--including spare tire, center caps, lug nuts; NOS side-impact mouldings and all bright work, re-chromed bumpers; NOS front grille and surround, new lens (front and rear), lock cylinders; vehicle has all the bells and whistles (PS,PB, PTR,AC,PL,PW,Cruise, ATC, etc.) and they all work. I LOVE that body style and find that it is CERTAINLY underated. I love them and it brings a tear to my eye knowing that many are still sent to crushers and put in demo derbies. It hurts me.

I'm 16 years old and will ALWAYS treasure the Classics!

A guy near me has a '56-'57 T-bird covered up and rotting away in his drive way. Been there for years and it is KILLING me! The neighborhood he is in is full of Classic Car guys and so I'm sure he's been asked. I can also guess the answer too. "Gonna fix it up someday". I'm not even going to bother asking. Heck, a '50s Ford lover is just across the street from him (last owned a black '58 Edsel).

My 1979 T-Bird, Daily Driver, Rain or shine

Here are pics of my 1979 Ford Thunderbird which I use as a daily driver here in Florida. It is chamois in color, 302-2v, with power everything and everything works. I use the original R-12 AC system and it blows 42 degrees out of the vents. Car has a little over 100,000 miles on it. Burns no oil. Runs perfect. I've driven it for many years. Tim; Florida
