When we bougt it last year, it came with paperwork detailing pretty much every repair ever done on the car, dating back to the original owner who had the car until 2007. I'm guessing that the orig. owner kept it garaged, and drove it very sparingly(if at all)during the winter. The paint is still exceptionally nice; it does have a little bit of spiderwebbing on the left rear quarter, and some minor rock chips here and there.

The parts that I'm looking for are the left front mudflap(factory style black with Tbird logo), and a tan drivers' side interior door panel(manual windows and locks). I am also considering replacing the rear bumper sometime down the road as ours has a fair amount of pitting on it.

I pulled the Bird into the garage yesterday afternoon and polished it up. Here are some new pics:
Beautiful T-bird you have. I may have a mudflap and other parts. I will be going through my parts car at the end of april to see what I do and don't need before I send it away.

I'm normally not that big into custom work, particularly on Thunderbirds, but I really like what you've done -- particularly with the interior.

All of that woodgrain on what appears to be a non-landau -- the grain on the "Bright" areas of the doors, and especially the seats. The A/C registers are not original, but the round pattern matches the pods on the instrument cluster. In all, it's very nicely done!

It's difficult to tell in the photos, but is the dash painted a color to match the exterior, or is it also woodgrain?

As for the white, I once had a Malibu Classic with white seats. Extra work to keep clean, but they certainly make an impression. Someone back in the day told me to use saddle soap, which I did, and it seemed to take care of it.

Also, what is the exterior color? It also stands out, without being gaudy. I really like it!

Hi Gary
Thank you for your comments, Your correct she is a non Landau, the reason for the woodgrain was that the bright work was in very poor shape and would have cost plenty to repair and reanodise so I repaired it all the best I could and then searched for a covering 3M supplied the solution and I've gotta say the pics really dont do it justice, I'm very pleased with the end result.

The Air Con registers are Classic Auto Air, The car didn't have Air so I fitted Classic Auto Air to it.

The Dash and rear parcel shelf are painted in Burgundy not the same as the exterior but it seems to work OK

Thanks for the Tip on the Saddle Soap, I must say the White is a concern but I'll just have to be carefull.

The Exterior colour is Sparkling Burgundy a colour used on Aussie Fords in 1999 - 2001 on the Falcons & Fairlanes

Cheers Dave

Just started on a 64 landau. The center and dash are the only peices woodgrain...the rest is chrome. Was thinking about converting the wood grain to chrome as well.I have a long way to go before I get to that point.Just started on pulling out the front floor pans.Pictures are at my garage.
