tranny cooler

I thought I would pass this along as it might save members some big bucks.
My traany (C-6) fell victim to water & antifreeze contamination due to a leak in the cooling line that runs through the radiator. It is a small line and can not be repaired.
I pluged it off and mounted an external cooler which does a much better job and eliminates the problem.
As these radiators are all getting pretty old I think it's a good idea to make this inexpensive modification before it's too late.

Does it do a better job than the original set-up or just better than the one you replaced on YOUR car?

It has a much larger cooling capacity Harley, as you probably know the stock set up is just one tube passing through the header. The one I installed has several.

And your 'birds cooling system will thank you in the summer - it no longer has to cool the trans as well thereby giving it a better chance of keeping the engine cool!

BTW Jow, STILL trying to email you back!
