390 year ID
I recently purchased a 58 Squarebird and it came with a 390 TBird Intercepter engine. It of course, is not the original engine.
Does anyone know an easy way to ID the year of this engine?

Starting in 1963, there is a tapped hole in the front of the block for mounting the alternator. Earlier years did not have this tapped hole. See Steve Christ's book, "How to Rebuild Big Block Ford Engines"
