Post Problem with ragtop 2003 T-Bird

Have had my 2003 Bird for about 6 weeks. Finally got around to removing the hardtop.
Drove around for a couple of weeks that way and decided I had better try the convertible top. I cannot lock the top to the windshield frame. Problem seems to be the pin alignment. When the pin is lined up on one side the other pin is almost 1/2 inch out of alignment with the pocket. Dealer couldn't help. Said he would have to contact someone at Ford for help and get back with me. Seems to me there should be an adjustment here somewhere. Anyone have any knowledge of this???

no knowledge about adjustments on the softtop but they are adjustable (just don't know how). Suggestions: Try to work with your dealer on this since this should be a warrantee item. A top shop may also be able to find the solution.
