Last news I heard was that production was postponed from this Nov to next May, being introduced as a 2002 model. It's based on the Lincoln LS, but with a shorter wheelbase. The shortening caused unexpected handling problems, thus the delay. They may have the problems fixed by now, they've been at it for awhile. The LS drives prety nice, so the Bird should do the same. Five speed automatic , 3.9L V8 is the only powertrain. Leather buckets std, hard top available.
