Question Now What?????????

I had hoped the car I was getting had the V8, this one has only the 3.8......

Should I put a turbo or supercharger on it or swap out and engine with only 30k on if for a V8?

It is a 92 LX with 30k original miles on it...... yes the mileage is correct.

I vote for the supercharger. Considering your engine's low milage, it will hold up well to the strain of a good supercharger. It would also be easier to stick one of them on, as opposed to swapping in a new motor, and dealing with the computer issues, motor mounts, etc...For ideas, try going over to tccoa.com, and read up in the forums. I know of tons of folks over there who have done many varying things to their Thunderbirds and Cougars, so their information will lead you right through whatever process you choose. Good luck!

Be careful with superchargers. while these cars did come with a supercharger on a V6, the superchaged 3.8 was a whole different block, rods, pretty much a beefier design. I'd say 5.0 it, it'd be cool and kinda easy. just my two cents worth...

Well it does look like I am giong to go with a 5.0.......

The 3.8 as mentioned will need a complete overhaul and will still be a V6 and I have always loved the sound of a 302.

The money is being saved up at this moment, not too mention those 5.0's are around all over the place from wrapped up cars........

Aside from the wireing harness would I need a radiator or anything else?
