ANY Ideas
I recently bought a 1985 Ford Thunderbird for $1300.00. It has 189k On its motor,a 2.3l 4 cylinder turbo engine. I was wondering what i could do on this car to make it fast enough to beat some mustangs. I have 3000.00 left to and i want the stuff i put on the car to last because this will be a daily driven car. I am was thinking about a T3/T4 Turbo but not sure after that about how to get some horses.

I would start by taking a look at the bottom end of the motor, bearins, crank, rods, pistons, etc. If clearances are good and everything is as should be you can let it go but a quality rebuild and balancing of all rotatiing components is always a good idea if looking for more power. The T3/4 is a good unit as I purchased and installed one myself, that alone made a significant difference, before the rebuild,i.e. I blew the engine, ergo the rebuild advice. You can save a good bit of money assembling the engine and it's components yourself, if you have the tools and equipment. Good luck.
