1979 Tbird Accelarator pump

I just changed by accelerator pump on my 1979 302 Tbird. I damaged (broke) off the end of my connecting rod. Does anyone know where I can find one? I'm told I need to make one out of a coat hanger

Pretty common arm back in the day. I might have one if you post a pic BUT any older shop that does carb work will probably have old cores laying around. I have old bones laying in my shop attic as do most older shops if you call around.

thanks I'll post a pic. The end is broken of but you will see what it looks like. Problem I have is in my area of Ohio Akron Cleveland all the shops have closed. Also I have another question. I get a dead spot when I hit the gas at idle or when I turn right and hit the gas. It stalls. I changed the acc pump. Any ideas?
