Post thunderbird derby

I hate to see the cars go this way but I found a 77 thunderbird that has been through one derby that is for sale. it has a 400 engine. anyone know anyhting about strengthening these? it is missing the radiator support. I am hoping to buy this and finish it off so I can transplant the 400 into the cougar of mine. let me know

I bought the t-bird, and now it is done.. I took 7th place in the derby and there is not much left of the car. I figured that if it was already destroyed I should finish it off.

it just sickens me to see these cars go down fighting like that! hahahahaha but like you said, it was already headed that way anyway!
congratulations on 7th place. Unfortunately i've wrecked my share of our beloved 'birds and i am very surprised to see how easily the front end folds up.
