I have now converted my cougar to the more stylish thunderbird fenders to give it the "one of a kind" look does anyone know anything about doing this? I had some small problems getting them to line up in the right places. but they look nice on the cougar. :)

Arrgh! What have you done to your poor cougar? :) Kidding. As a native Cougar owner, I couldn't imagine doing such a thing, but to each his own. Actually, what is so different about the fenders themselves? I took a look at a picture of a 78 t-bird that I have, and I couldn't tell much difference in them except for slightly smaller turn signals and the diamond jubilee vents, but that wasn't on all T-birds... did you do just the front fenders, or did you somehow change the rear ones out as well? Is that even possible considering that the B pillar is completely different between the two cars? I'm curious. Any pics?
Mike

the only differences that I have found is that the thunderbird fenders have the vents. All thunderbirds from 77-79 have the vents even the base models. I will try to get some pics my car is a 79 XR7 I plan on getting the thunderbird header panel for it soon so it will have the headlight covers. I hope to have some pics of the car soon I will post them as soon as I get around to taking some.
