A stray cat in birdville...
Howdy, all!
Yes, yet another new member post. First, I have a confession to make... I don't actually own a T-bird! My car is a 1978 Mercury Cougar XR-7, 351W with a C4 transmission, red with a white top. Even though the Cougar isn't a T-bird, he's a close relative... I hope that's enough to gain your guys' acceptance... :) Anyhow, I'll start out with a question; how much do y'all know about FoMoCo spring rates? I want to put higher rate springs in the Cougar, and I'd like to get the best bang for my buck. Does anyone know any spring rate numbers on stock XR-7 springs and/or spring rates on other cars that share this chassis, e.g. T-birds, LTD II's (rear springs from LTD II wagons, anyone?), lincolns, etc... Thanks much!
