well, i erred somewhere in the re-assembly of the box. now i need replacement parts! HAHAHAHAHA oh well, not to bad for the 1st time. guys, be CAREFUL when you put the two shafts together, (The ford shaft -steering column, and the GM screw shaft) THERE IS A LOCATER PIN THAT MATES THE TWO AND IT SHEARS VERY EASILY!! unfortunately i didnt realize it sheared until AFTER i got it muscled up between the headers and the frame!
If it binds inside the box AT ALL, it will lock on center and if the engines running it WILL QUICKLY OVERHEAT AND KILL THE PUMP! trust me... dang it was a hideous noise and the steering was way fouled up! better luck on the next one i guess! later, Paul The Gearworks [ 07-19-2003: Message edited by: Gearworks ] |
