I laid a 1980 Camaro Z/28 cowl induction hood scoop on the hood of my 'Bird and thought it looked perfect. I may make it part of my car when I do the body and paint next year. I already drew the plans to use an underhood pan and Ram Air cleaner I have that is from a 1971 AMX. Ram Air is just plain cool! Coolest hood scoop for the 'Bird to me at least is the NASA hood that was on the Boss 351. Not just cold air intakes, but heat extractors as well. But making that happen is over my head.

This place has been too quiet lately, so I'm gonna poke you all with a stick. Does anyone know how hoods are GENERALLY shipped? It would seem to me you just paste a big old label on it.

Charles,
hoods are generally wrapped in cardboard before being shipped, to prevent dings, scratches, and such. I know from buying truck hoods and battling to get the cardboard off.

They fit fine. There may be a small issue where I think the hood is peaked and our header panels are not. No big deal, just make a peak on the header with fiberglass. Don't forget about the '72-'73 Montego GT hood as an option. They have feature lines sculpted into them that better match our 'Birds.
