Stalling Issue

How long has it been since the carb was rebuilt completely? I have professionals rebuild my 1979 302 carb--it's an easy one for them--and the results have always been palpable.

If a car sits for a long period of time, there tends to be a build up of gunk in the gas tank and lines and carb. I would remove the tank, clean it out thoroughly, blow out the gas lines, and try to find someone who can rebuild the carb. If there are no carb rebuild specialists, you might try it yourself. The carb on a 302 is very simple in design with few parts. The rebuild kit will be self-explanatory. Or keep looking for a carb rebuild guy on line.
