A Happy '78 T-bird owner
Well, it's been five months living with my "new" low mileage '78 T-bird and so far I've been having a blast with it. I'm trying to preserve the low mileage (it only had a documented 10,400 miles when I first got it), but I'm finding I'm having too much fun driving it. I'm pleasantly surprised by the fuel economy of the 400 M engine (over 16 mpg). Not great, but pretty good for such a big car with a big engine and a 3-speed C6. Pickup is pretty good, and the car is overall quite comfortable. I've even had several occasions where people have checked out the car or come up to talk about it. Who says '70s cars have no class?
