Question 1979 Intake

Does anyone have an aluminum 2BBL intake for a 351W to sell. I believe that 1979 was the only year for an aluminum intake for a 2BBL carb, not TBI. I cracked mine while trying to release it's death grip on the sending unit. Irony was the manifold bolts each had about 4 ft/lbs of torque. Always feast or famine.

I don't want to put a REAL intake on it with a REAL carb. because one day someone way smarter than me will write an 'EFI Conversion for Dummies' book and then I can have cool looking injection just like all the soccer moms have in their Explorers.

Keep on flying, Charles

hahahahahaha good one charles.

anyway. it would be easier (maybe not cheaper) to do one of two things (or both!)

have the intake welded where it split, and then you can put on the fancy 2 bbl holley efi. that system is simple as can be and cockpit adjustable. its all pretty much plug and play.

i have the commander 950 laptop programmable twin 900 setup on my monster and i am VERY close to firing it. but it was exteremly easy to do.

if shipping isnt to prohibitive, i can weld it up for you.
let me know

charles,

keep youre eyes open on ebay. there seems to ALWAYS be some form of the holley setup for cheap. and incidentally i can help you out with the installation if need be.
also, the guys at holley tech are VERY helpful with particular tech questions.
