Rear Disc Brakes from Crown Vics

There's a thread on the Torino forum where they say you can use the rear disc brakes from a '92 Crown Vic. They seem to fit a '70 Torino, do you think they would fit our Birds. It sounds interesting and cheap. Any thoughts?

it is quite possible they may work witha little fabrication work. crown vics have 8.8 metric differentials in them (like mustang)

if youre more interested in going with something i personally can attest to working and working VERY well, there is a company called steeltech solutions on ebay that sells the brackets for rear disc. all you use is cadillac rear calipers if you want an Ebrake, or 82 - 85 camaro FRONT calipers if you dont.
you also need to get a pair of licoln 11" rotors and have them redrilled to 5 on 4.5" bolt circle.

i have this setup on my monster and i love it! i used the camaro fronts, and went with all stainless braided line. look in the 77-79 forum under pics of my monster to see the setup.

I'd like to see any info on either setup, including prices on how much each setup costs. any info would be great.
