1968 starter stays engaged
My 1968 Thunderbird is a true beauty. I picked her up almost two years ago straight after my return from Iraq with the USMC as a welcome home gift to myself.
She sits covered now, under a carport because i can't figure out this damn starter issue. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with my ignition becaue priior to this problem, there would be times when i turned the key off and the engine kept running. I'm very familiar with mechanical work but i just want to make sure i'm doing it right. I've never worked on an antique before. If anyone knows a good repair manual or troubleshooting guide that can walk me through it, please, let me know. |

start with you ignition switch, not the part you put your key in... most likely located behind the gauges on top of the column. this is probably your issue
