Question about control arm bushings

So my 67 Tbird needs the upper control arm bushings replaced and the only place to quote me so far said that they would be 65$ a bushing and that they had to ship them in from California, I'm in Washington state. I wanted to know if this is a reasonable price for bushings, it seems high to me since I have found some places selling ones they say will work for around 12 to 18$ each.

guess we will be changing these ourselves, the repair shops just want too much. If anyone has changed the upper control arm bushings on their Tbird and has any pointers it would be appreciated.

g_lower is an unknown quantity at this point
an air hammer works the best for removal, then use the nut and washer to press them back in.

You can buy these bushings from Rare Parts ( Steering & Suspension, All American Cars, Import Cars, Off Road and Trucks | RareParts.com). If you don't have a shop manual, GET ONE.
This job may not be as simple as you think.
