Heater Hoses and bent pushrods
The restoration of 66 hardtop going well, but I have the heater hoses lying under the bonnet (hood) not attached to engine, where do they connect to on the block? no diagram in shop manual that I can find. also the drivers side bank of cylinder block had bent pushrod, a 30 degree bend in rod yet engine still ran, replaced rod with second hand one that was in trunk when I aquired the car, is this a common problem and what causes it to happen? engine runs very well now.
looking for standard 66, 15 inch wheel cover. thanks.

One heater hose comes off a fitting on the intake manifold, near the thermostat. This one supplies the hot water to the heater core. The other hose feeds the return water to a fitting on the water pump. I have some wheel covers.... ;)

Tim: remove the valve cover and the pushrods and roll them on a flat surface. Bent pushrods will be obvious.

Sorta like checking for a warped pool stick! I have a 64 conv I just purchased and have a LOT of work ahead of me. I just decoded my vin info. Look like my car grew u with me here in Cincy. Is this the only forum out here for Tbirds. This one is a bit dead. I see many links for Tbird sheet metal, anyone recommend a place to gte floor pans, rear quarters?

I have replaced the bent pushrod, and now have the engine running very smoothly, thanks for advice regarding sticking valves,
the car has stood for a very long time, the pushrod was bent near the middle and the bend was a good 30 degrees, just like a banana in shape. Thanks for advice.
