Correct Tire Pressure?
Greetings,
I own a '66 T-Bird Hardtop. I noticed in the inside of the glove box, the recommended tire pressure. It reads 24psi. That seems a bit low compared to 32psi for today's cars. My question? Should the tire pressure be 24psi as recommeded in 1966, or 32 psi for today's standards? I think they based the tire pressure on the kind of tires they had in 1966, not of today. Am I correct? Thanks in advance, T-Craft |

The pressures for radial tires are more than the ones that were on the car when it was mfg.(bias ply}.I put 32lbs in the tires on my 66 and they wear fine.
