I bought a 65 T Bird about a year ago to restore. I wish I had known about this forum before I did all that work the hard way. I see a lot of useful info that I could have used.

Welcome! I'd suggest you do two things before going any further: 1. Buy the 65 Tbird shop manual (used ones are always for sale on eBay, new reprints are available through the various Tbird parts houses, and most recently, the shop manual is available on CD-ROM at www.tbirdranch.com). 2. Obtain a copy of the "Thunderbird Restoration Guide 1958-1966" written by William Wonder. Also available through the various Tbird parts suppliers! Have fun!
