Post AOD for your FE....

My name is Greg Balsley. I don't currently own a T-Bird but my dream car is a '66 convertible since age 15 (I'm 38 now).
A company called Lentech(Lentechautomatics.com)makes Ford AOD trannys
that mate to the FE engine. I have no affiliation with this company but read about them in Hot Rod magazine. For those that drive their cars and would love a modern overdrive, this might be worth looking into.
Gear Vendors (gearvendors.com) makes an overdrive unit that mates to the stock C6 (sorry nothing for the Cruiseomatic)and this could be another option. I hope to have my dream bird soon. I do clock repairs/restorations and have done many T-Bird clocks, especially the 64-66 series. I also repair/restore relays (64 brake light
relay anyone?). This board is an excellent forum and I hope to be able to participate as an owner someday.

Greg,
I have a 66 with the C6, the overdrive sounds interesting.
The clock in my 66 quit after 35 years. I found that the rewind solenoid was bad and replaced it with one from a spare I had that had some parts. Works fine now.
