64 Bird steering gear box removal

My steering box is leaking like a facet. I want to reseal it. I've removed both hoses, disconnected rag joint, ground, all 3 bolts but cannot get it to drop out. WHAT'S THE SECRET!

Was able to get it out. I had to remove all 3 isolaters(spacers) that gave me just enough room to wiggle it out. Was a bear to remove especially laying on your back thing must weigh 50lbs.

At least 50 pounds--I think it's more than that!

You might consider swapping it for a rebuilt unit from Red-Head steering. They do good work and the cost is about the same as having a local shop rebuild it.
