Smile Paint & Trim Colours

I have just joined your elite group having found you on the net.
Recently I purchased a 66 T.Bird in Arizona.
Vin No 6Y83Z166364
Body code 63A.T.65.27E.51.1.4.
mileage is showing at 64073 miles which appears genuine, if anyone knows anything about this car I would be interested to here from them.
The car is totally rust free and undamaged, she runs well apart from a loose timimg chain and a dud petrol pump, seems someone fitted an electric pump at some time, the paint is very faded and the trim is awful, but the chrome is very good.
I am looking for information on paint formulation as no one in England seems to have the colour chips or the formula to do an exact paint match with the original colour.
I am also looking for a steel road wheel because the spare disappeared during shipment from Phoenix to Liverpool. England.
The intention is to restore the car to a good working example that I can use on a regular basis, so lots of rust proofing will have to be applied for our climate.

Yoursnull

The original paint was red, the trim was red also. Your Bird was the 166364 produced in that year.
Have fun,
Joe

Talking

I would suggest you send an email to a chap named Graham Hurley asking his advice. He's the director of a club called, "Thunderbirds of England" and could be helpful in other ways besides just Thunderbird paint. His email is [email protected].

And yes......rust-proof the car first thing!!
