New Member with 65 T-bird Landau to save

Good evening! I just brought home a 1965 Thunderbird coupe Landau and I'm going to be reading and looking for information. While I am a lawyer by day, I've been turning wrenches for my whole life as a hobby.

I bought this car thinking it would be a fun project to get it back on the road and then sell for a teeny tiny profit or loss. As I have started cleaning it out and evaluating its condition, I am unfortunately falling in love with the car.

A good start. My car also carries California black plates. Are you in CA?

Does it run and stop?

Sent you a PM yesterday.

I'm in Tennessee where the car has been since 2010 per the title, though it could have been here longer I suppose. It stops off a trailer a little bit, lol. Haven't put a battery to it as I want to go through and change oil, pull the distributor and prime it, verify ignition power and timing and rebuild the carb before I make an attempt. Gas tank was changed by PO so I need to go thru it pretty thoroughly. Even though I am a lawyer by trade, I am pretty comfortable with the mechanical side of things. I can repair or build an engine as necessary. I have a hook up for transmission work if it is necessary, and I have built a few rear ends so I am confident I can get it running or rebuild whatever is necessary.
