Power Steering bracket bushing replacement -
On the two cast iron power steering brackets I've noticed there are rubber bushings pressed into them where they bolt onto the engine.
This is different from the truck parts that don't have any bushings - assuming passenger cars had them for less vibration/quieter ride. I did a quick search and haven't found if there are replacement bushings available or if they are serviceable. I would like to powder coat these pieces but can't with rubber bushings in them . |

Oops, I didn't read your post carefully.
I found a drawing with them on, part no. 33638. The appear to be unique to 65-66 Thunderbird. They appear to be pressed into the holes in the bracket. I've attached a copy of the page, it's not as good as I hoped, but you should be able to see the detaiils. Hope this helps Terry 64HT |
