Underbody Protection

Does anyone know what the underbody protection spray was made of? Is it still available, or what would be a good substitute?
Thanks

Pretty certain that was an asphalt based product. They have body undercoater in rattle cans and I know some guys that prefer to use bed liner spray

Thanks. I'm trying to repair an area on the underside of the trunk floor. The spray undercoater I tried had a completely different texture to it and I think bed liner would be too smooth and shiny.
I'm thinking about trying to roll on some asphalt based coating.

Either asphalt based rattle can or Shutz gun application should give you the texture close to factory. I did mine last winter with rattle cans......had to apply 3 coats to match the texture as mine was just a touch up in some areas where the original had deteriorated ( although I did entire underbelly so all matched). I fortunately did not have any floor metal repair areas to cover (original solid California floors and trunk!) but application should be similar. You don't want it too smooth as the truck bedliner would give you. Let it dry for a few days between coats for best results.

Thanks Randy. I'll try some asphalt based coating (I'm not sure what the composition of the one I tried was) and do several coats spaced a few days apart as you suggest.
The need for the repair was caused entirely by my own stupidity.
