Air Suspension Guidance

I'm thinking od upgrading my original 1966 390 Coupe's suspension with an air system. Any thoughts, advice or cautions would be appreciated.

I do recall a discussion some years ago on another forum where concern was expressed that an air suspension would change the load bearing points (especially in the rear), and care would need to be taken to make sure that the frame was strong enough.

I have 3 mates with Air Ride suspensions on their Flairbirds they've been running Air Ride for the last 3 ~ 4 years with no problems, Back is very easy to fit simply bolts in. Front Top control arms to be cut and a bracket fitted that allows the front shockwave to drop thru the arm allowing the car to go to ground. Tank and compressors take up a bit of room in the trunk. Other than that all good, They look great.

That's good info. As I said, I recall only a discussion about it, no first hand experience. Knowing it has worked on cars for a few years is a lot more helpful.
