Transmission
The trans in my 64 needs to be rebuilt. For several months it has been skipping 2nd gear. Shifts straight from 1st to 3rd. Now it has started vibrating badly in reverse. There are several shops around that can rebuild the trans, but I am being told by one shop that the engine has to come out in order to pull the trans. Is it necessary to pull the engine in order to remove the trans?
