66 Tbird front end

I just bought a 66 Tbird - landau that was rescued from storage many years ago and not run over the past 5 years. After looking more closely, it appears that the 66 has a 65 hood, front bumber/grill assembly. The seller stated that he did not know the history of the car but had heard that the factory could have used 65 parts in building this car - as it appears it was built in January 1966. Does anyone know if that is true, could be true or is true? Any help would be appreciated.

I am a novice at this (1st restoration project) and will needs lots of advice.

The front clip from a 65 wouldn't fit on a 66.
The clip on the 66 is longer.
Can you post some pictures of your car here?
Bob.

I did a little research, and came up with some figures.
To begin with, looking at the two cars side by side, the front clip on the 66 is longer.
Here are the figures.: all are in inches.

1965 and 1966
Width= 77.7--------------------77.3
length 205.4-------------------- 205.4
height= 52.5---------------------52.7
wheelbase= 113.2---------------113.2
They are close in most of the numbers, but the one most important to you is the width, and as you can see, your front clip is wider, so I don't think you can install it on a 66.
