1964 Choke heat tube holes

I am replacing my carburetor whit a new one that has an electric choke. I have two small holes for choke in my exhaust manifold for heat choke tube. Do I need to plug these holes when I remove the tubes.Any guidance will be appreciated.

Chuck, you can safely leave these holes unplugged.
