Turn signal flashers

I need some guidance. My 64 has a three prong flasher. Every where I check it calls for 552 2 prong. How do I install it ?

Original flasher has 3 prongs X L P.

The new(552) flasher only has 2 prongs X and L.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've not worked on a '64, but here's what I've found. The turn signal flasher is indeed a 552 with two prongs. The emergency flasher is a heavy duty unit with three prongs (AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 1R2193 from Rock Auto Parts). Good luck and happy birding

Thanks for the reply. I found the original flasher (550) locally at K O I auto parts.
