Talking New 65 Bird owner here with questions

Well Thank God for this forum. I recieved a 65 T Bird as a 40th birthday gift from my wife. I was looking at these cars on Ebay and commented on how much I like this one in Florida. Well a week later it was here. At first I thought she paid a little too much. But now that see how really rock solid the original trunk and floors are I feel okay about it. The body is a pretty strong number 3 car being repainted about 4 years ago from a sorta off white to a newer Lincoln pearl white. No evidence of and crazy rust through patching at all. A small body crack behind the rear window. It shows extremely well even from 3 feet away. You have to be really on top of it and know where to look to find the paint imperfections. Interior is mostly original and unmolested and shows real well at car shows too. No seat rips at all.Original hubcaps with brand new Kelly tires, and nice fitting fender skirts. Decent chrome but a bit faded abd scratched from nearly 40 years old-like me. I think the air works because the compresser comes on and cycles but the blower motor is dead. The previous owner says heater core was done about 3/4 years ago. 3 of the 4 power windows work(left rear out) and the sequential tails work flawlessly. Steering column and shifter have no slop whatsoever and the nuetral safety/back up switch is missing-someone jumped out the N/S part of it. Needs a lower ball joint and a couple of power steering hoses, the carb is a Holley that has a motorcraft electric choke on it that I adjusted to get it give a morning start and fast idle. The fast idle speed is a bit too low but I think the carb has to come off to reset this. The carb has an off idle stumble just a tad that I can doctor up by bumping the timing but I have chosen not to just yet. Trans is excellent, fluid pinkish red, and car will rip out and power up especially with the secondaries opened up. Brakes and brake system are perfect,no pulls squeaks pulses, just perfect. Replaced plugs and wires,cap/rotor look good. Oil was black, changed with filter. Lotsa bulbs replaced too...about 30 dollars worth of blister packed rip offs. Trunk needed new drain tubes and still has a light water leak from the right side right under the roof side molding. I have been sitting in the trunk and I am 190 lbs and it rock rock solid.needs trunk kit after i find leak source though. Overall though car shows real well and always draws a crowd from teens to retirees. Oh yeah needs some exhaust work too. Not a whole system though and not manifold gaskets, about 200-250 worth of front pipe work. She paid 5400.00 Input please. :)

Sounds like a fair enough deal. Now, get a shop manual and have fun.
Good luck
