Post Can power window switches be repaired?

All but one of the six power window switches on my 65 feel like loose teeth? The right rear window switch has the added bonus of emitting a spark if you attempt to use it.

Can these switches be repaired or is it better to just replace them?

Any gotchas in replacing the switches or do you just remove the four screws in the inner console in front of the storage compartment and replace them from the bottom?

Most of the time it's better to replace the switch unless cleaning will do it.
You can remove the switch panel by using a small screw driver and pushing into a small opening in the center of the panel (front) This trips the little dog that holds the panel in.

Boater,

I'm game. According to the catalog the 64-66 switches are the same.

Are all six switches working well?

You can e-mail me at yoda#remove-this#@greatmindsworking.com with more info.

The front vent and rear quarter windows are two-wire and the driver/passenger windows are three wires (e.g. 4 2-wire switches & 2-3 wire switches). I think the 2-wire and 3-wire switches are interchangable from 64-66.
