Trans Fluid

65 tbird spits fluid out the vent on the trans. Only seems to do this when I take it on the freeway. Short trips around town, nothing on the garage floor. Level seems to be about right. Is this something where it is not cooling properly or plugged at the radiator? Best way to check if cooling problem?

Sounds as if trans is overfilled. Are you checking after warmed up and idling in park. Also, be sure dipstick is going all the way in. The on on my car catches about 1 inch before it goes all the way in.
