Transmission Issue??

I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with tranny leaking out the tope of the dipstick tube? When my 64 is hot it drips out on the exhaust manifole. Is there back pressure in the trans? A vent on the transmission somewhere?
Thanks for any help

my 65 has a vent tube off the top of the trans. When I purchased the car about 3 mos ago the guy overfilled and it does release some fluid from time to time. I think it is almost at the right level. I don't think this caused any damage to the trans, just to the paper on the floor. Let me know if different.

Mine seems to be a bit different. Mine is low at the moment due to leaking out the dipstick tube. Not sure if or how much back pressure could be caused if the vent was clogged? I ordered a new dipstick to see if it is just the rubber grommet that is the problem.
