Engine & Gearbox Instalation

Can anyone advise me if the engine & automatic gearbox can be installed as a single unit in a 65 car and what needs to be left off the engine to install this as a single unit or what problems they have had

Some say that's the way to do: as a complete assembly. What to leave off? Power steering pump, alternator, carburetor, coolant tank would be good..

Thanks Harley I wasn't sure if it would fit in this way I thought that the gearbox bell housing might get caught up in the steering cross arm or the exhaust manifolds might not clear the spring turret they only say in the manual to remove the engine from the gearbox most cars that I have worked on you can fit engine & gearbox as a unit I'll let you know how I get on fitting it this way all the auxiliary components are off the engine including starter motor
Cheers Chris
