Electrical question
I've got a new battery in my 65 and it starts ok when the battery is charged and after running the engine. That makes me think the alternator is working ok. After sitting for a couple of days the battery is drained to the point wher it won't crank. Something somewhere is sucking off the power. Any ideas of how I can find the culprit?

Diconnect the neg. battery cable and put a test light between the neg. cable and the neg. battery post. With all systems off it should not light up. If it does, you have a drain somwhere in the system. If your clock works you may have to ground the neg. lead momentarily to wind it. Pull fuses till the light goes off to find what circuit is at fault. If you have a murcurey switch in the trunk it is often the culprit.
Good luck Joe
